Last week, the Sustainable Urban Forests Coalition celebrated 10 years of working to:
-
Increase tangible support for urban forests on a national, regional and local level;
-
Educate diverse audiences about the value and need for healthy trees in cities; and
-
Network and leverage resources and knowledge among a growing community of organizations promoting healthier, more vibrant cities.
Members of SUFC include urban planners, educators, arborists, landscape architects, public works and utility associations, water quality experts, foresters, scientists, diverse nonprofits, tree care industries, and landscape and nursery associations. Working together since 2004, these diverse professionals monitor, care and advocate for urban trees and green infrastructure. The members of SUFC and partners and supporters represent a diverse array of professionals. Congratulations to SUFC on 10 years of improving conditions for people + trees in cities!
