From the beginning, respect for the environment has been a core SavATree value. On our company’s 30th anniversary, we herald an enduring commitment to responsible stewardship and sustainability.
For a lawn that is more lush and green, with more resistance to disease and drought.
Three prominent landscape architects discuss their favorite trees, shrubs and groundcovers.
Winter is a tough season for your trees and shrubs. Climatic extremes, harsh winds, and winter storms all can take a toll on the landscape you have worked so hard to maintain all summer. Now is the time to prepare for the coming winter and also to develop a plan for the spring.
Maryland National Capital Park and Planning was concerned about damage at the base of a majestic white oak adjacent to transmission lines.
As we head into fall, many areas in the Northeast and Midwest are experiencing some of the hottest and driest conditions in years. These drought conditions compel us to rethink our lawn maintenance schedule. Typically, re-seeding would begin this month. However, even irrigation systems are not able compensate for the extreme lack of moisture. Under these circumstances, it is necessary to wait until soil moisture levels and rainfall are sufficient to support lawn seed germination.
More than twenty-five members of SavATree’s management team came together to donate their expertise and help care for the landscape at The Woodlands in Philadelphia. A National Historic Landmark District, the property contains numerous rare, historic and champion trees.
