What to Expect When Removing Trees

Once your tree has been removed, you may consider whether to leave the stump as is, or remove it. Stump grinding employs machinery to shred the stump down below the soil level, from a few inches to as deep as 12 Inches. The tree’s roots remain, however, and will decay slowly.

Your arborist can explain the pros and cons of grinding the stump, and the estimated costs for doing so, based on the size of the stump, its location on your property, and your own preferences. Choosing the best removal method depends on what you would like to do in and around the old stump site. Do you have visions for re-planting, and if so, what do you intend to plant?
