Observations in the Field:

Herbicide Damage to a Magnolia

sterling Va tree service

May 17, 2019 – This magnolia tree was damaged after the lawn around it was treated for weeds. This wasn’t caused by damage to the roots. In fact, the damage came from the volatilization of the technical material that was used in treating the weeds. Make sure that you are using safe and professional tree and lawn care methods. SavATree’s team of professionals can help you achieve the weed-free lawn of your dreams without causing unintentional harm to any other living organisms on your property. Contact us today and we’ll schedule a consultation with one of our certified arborists.

March 8, 2019 – A tree with fungal fruiting structures on several limbs, trunk, butt or roots should be removed promptly.  Especially if it is located where property damage may occur, or harm people or pets struck by falling limbs or the tree itself.  If most of the tree appears healthy, any single branch with fungal fruiting structures should be removed promptly, regardless of the identity of the fungus present.
