Some Baobob trees have been known to store as much as 31,700 gallons of water inside of their trunks to endure harsh drought conditions. These trees are native to Madagascar and can grow to 100′ high and 35′ in diameter. Carbon dating has estimated the age of some Baobob trees at 6,000+ years.
