SavATree Educates Attendees at Mamaroneck’s Harbor Fest

June 8, 2010 — Mamaroneck, NY — SavATree, a leading provider of tree service and lawn care in the Northeast, was among the participants at the Village of Mamaroneck’s Historic Harbor Street Fair on Sunday, June 6.

Children planted Blue Spruce saplings into cups which they could bring home and transplant on their own properties as well as tree care tips to help them care for and nature their baby trees.

Adults could sample ArborKelp® — SavATree’s exclusive organic fertilizer, derived from Sea Kelp, and used to promote root growth and improve stress tolerance in plants.

Michael Sitaras, Certified Arborists with SavATree said “Parents and children alike were thrilled by the activity. The kids had a great time and took a lot of pride in the fact that they were planting their very own tree. It’s so rewarding to see them recognize the value of doing this. If each child follows through and plants his or her tree, that means nearly 200 new trees will be planted in the area.”

This is SavATree’s third year participating in this event. Sitaras said they are already looking forward to next year.
