Bedford Hills, NY— March 2019 — James Skiera, former Executive Director of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) will join SavATree to support business development. SavATree is a leading provider of tree, shrub, and lawn care services with 35 branches across the country.

Skiera began working for ISA as an Associate Executive Director in 1994 and became Executive Director in 2004. After 22 years fostering awareness of the practice of arboriculture, he announced his retirement in 2017.

Building relationships with prospects in new regions has led to a rapid expansion for SavATree in recent years, allowing them to partner with companies that share the same core values. Skiera will be working with SavATree’s Mergers and Acquisitions team in the role of Business Partner to help identify additional opportunities for increased forward momentum.

He joins fellow recent additions Joseph Correa as Vice President of M&A Integration and David Schneider as Integration Operations Manager, as well as his former counterpart at the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA), Mark Garvin, who joined SavATree in August of 2018.

“We’re thrilled to have Jim on the SavATree team,” said Daniel van Starrenburg, CEO of SavATree. “His experience and familiarity with the industry make him a wonderful asset.”
