100 Years of Arboriculture Law in CT
To honor 100 years of Arboriculture lawn in Connecticut, Bruce went to Colt Park in Hartford, CT to plant a White Oak with Jack Hale, the president of Hartford’s Tree Advisory Committee. The White Oak is Connecticut’s state tree, so the planting was very meaningful!
Bruce also planted a white oak tree with Simsbury Town Tree Warden Tom Roy to celebrate 100 years of arboriculture law in Connecticut. CT was the first state in the US to have licensed arborists!

Gypsy Moth in Storrs, CT
July 4, 2019 – The gypsy moth larvae can cause extreme damage to trees as it eats foliage throughout the spring. This year, thanks to the rain, fungus and virus, the population has been greatly decimated. This is good news for your trees and shrubs. However, the critter is still present. Contact your local SavATree arborist to find out how to keep your whole landscape thriving all year round.
