Jacques works out of SavATree’s Norcross, Georgia branch. He provides expert tree, shrub and lawn care to commercial clients in and around the Atlanta, Marietta, Alpharetta and East Point, Georgia areas. Qualifications:

Jacques began his career as a Commercial Account Representative with ChemLawn in the early 1980’s in Atlanta. Moving over to the tree side, he became a Consulting Arborist with Arborguard Tree Specialists in Atlanta. Jacques has also worked with LifeScapes, Inc. as Director of Sales for their maintenance division. Before joining Downey Trees, Inc. in 2014 as General Manager, Jacques spent 11 years at Brickman in Atlanta as the Atlanta Regional Manager overseeing roughly $20M of landscape.

Education:

Jacques has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.

Personal:

Jacques has been married for 39 years, has three children, and five gradchildren (with two more on the way!). Jacques loves gardening and also working out at his son’s CrossFit box.

Why He Became An Arborist:

“I realized early in my career that sitting at a desk was not for me. My love of the outdoors, and some supportive college professors, steered me to be involved with trees and landscaping and the critical role they play in our environment.”
