Meet Rick Barnes

Rick earned his degree in horticulture from the University of Georgia. After college, Rick began his career in the interiorscape use of tropical plants, after which he co-owned a landscape design-build maintenance firm. The company was sold to a larger landscape company in 1996, where he then continued to work for the next 20 years in landscape design, enhancement, customer relations, and quality control. Rick changed direction in 2016 and joined Downey Tree Service as a Business Development Manager for Plant Health Care. Rick has been a commercial arborist with SavATree since 2019.
