Damian earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Public Safety from Indiana University – Purdue University (IUPUI).

Damian started working in the tree care industry in 2002, and that’s when his career initially started and took off like wildfire. He started as a groundsman for Vine & Branch, Inc., and then quickly became a climbing arborist. Damian then started treating trees and shrubs which led him to become a Plant Health Care technician while also providing estimates for current and new customers. He was then promoted to a leadership role as Production Manager and earned his title as an ISA Certified Arborist, while also managing the tree care company on a daily basis.

“I am originally from a small Caribbean island called Trinidad, and I moved to the United States when I was sixteen with my family.  During my spare time, you can generally find me outdoors hunting, fishing, woodworking, or taking a nap under a tree.”

Why He Became An Arborist:

“As a child I always enjoyed being outdoors and climbing mango trees, coconut trees, or the numerous fruit trees on the island, reaping the fruits.  I was always fascinated by how trees could provide so much, such as food, shade, housing for animals, use of wood to make wood products, and most importantly, provide oxygen for the world. In November of 2002, this career path found me and it has stuck with me. It never mattered if I tried a new career path, I would find myself happiest in my natural element, back to trees.  It brings me satisfaction to know I play a role as an arborist to help trees and the environment, by passing my knowledge on to others.”

Customer Service Philosophy:

“To maintain a relationship with customers as their arborist, I believe in providing the best practices and knowledge so their outdoor investments keep their value and aesthetic. I would not recommend a service that is not needed, or an answer as to why their trees are having issues if I do not know. I would simply say, “I do not know, but I will do my best to find the answer.” I believe in the integrity of my work and providing honest feedback in order to build trust with the customer. This is the foundation for a healthy customer service relationship.”
