Qualifications:

Derek brings over 21 years of vegetation management experience. He began his arboriculture career in 1998 as a manual climber for a national company and eventually moved on to spend the last 15+ years in management as an ISA Certified Arborist General Forman at a national tree company specializing in residential and commercial vegetation management for utilities. He has a deep understanding of power lines and the intricacies involved in the removal and pruning of trees and shrubs near and around electrified lines.

Education

Derek earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Augsburg University.

Personal:

Derek grew up in the country and spent most of his time exploring the fields and forests near his childhood home in Stacy, MN. He loves spending time outdoors with his wife and two children, especially four-wheeling, climbing, fishing, and boating.
