The Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester held their Annual Humanitarian Awards Dinner on June 2. Proceeds from the event provide Club scholarships to those youth most at risk, as well as funding for programs in character and leadership development, academic support, physical fitness, swimming, nutrition, arts and career training. Over 500 kids visit the Club each day to participate in these life changing programs.
The Humanitarian Award this year went to Annica and Daniel van Starrenburg, CEO, SavATree. The van Starrenburgs and SavATree have graciously supported the Club through community outreach, volunteering and donations, helping create great futures for generations to come. BGCNW is also extremely honored to present the John Beach Award to BGCNW Director of Operations and former Club kid, Barbara Cutri, who, during her 35-year tenure at the Club, has devoted her career and countless hours to designing and running all Club programming, helping kids be their best and shaping the citizens of tomorrow.
