“I am heavily involved in the sustainable landscaping throughout Northern Colorado. I volunteer with the Loveland youth gardeners and Colorado State Master Gardeners to promote ethical horticulture and arboriculture amongst our Northern Colorado growing population. I also volunteer with the weld county tree team to help encourage a successful future Canopy in our area.”
Personal:
“Being born and raised in Colorado I am a forever lover of the outdoors. I enjoy climbing, hiking, and camping when I have the free time. However, in the summer months most my personal time is spent Beekeeping and running my urban farm. I help take care for over 500 honeybee hives throughout Colorado and spend a lot of my time educating new beekeepers on care and sustainable landscaping to promote native bee populations. I also specialize in growing flowers and floral design. I really enjoy designing weddings and special events from my urban flower farm. You can usually find me running a booth at the farmer’s market most weekends during the summer.”
Why He Became an Arborist:
“Growing up my father ran a tree care business, so trees have always been family to me. I started working with my father when I was 12, and I have done tree care ever since. I guess you could say ‘the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.’ In my early teens I developed the want to learn as much as possible about arboriculture to continue to honor the knowledge that was passed down to me. 15 years later, I am so privileged to be an Arborist for SavATree. Promoting honest and proper arboriculture throughout Colorado has truly been a dream come true.”
