SavATree is Part of Eco-Village at Mamaroneck Historic Harbor Street Fair

Mamaroneck, NY—SavATree, a leader in the Northeast region in tree, shrub and lawn care, brought their particular brand of tree expertise to the Mamaroneck NY Historic Harbor Street Fair’s Eco-Village, joining other groups and organizations dedicated to maintaining and improving human and natural ecosystems. The Eco-Village housed companies committed to environmental stewardship, focusing in the areas of tree, soil, water energy management, and 100% organic products.

Since its inception, SavATree’s philosophy focused on non-intrusive tree and shrub care that enhances and preserves the environment. Certified SavATree arborists are constantly researching and developing new tools to utilize natural and organic resources to help nourish outdoor surroundings.

In the Eco-Village, SavATree provided a variety of educational materials for children and adults. SavATree handed out go green t-shirts and plant saplings to kids in peat pots and showed them how to plant them. There was also information on organic tree, shrub and lawn care as well as samples of ArborKelp® – SavATree’s organic fertilizer derived from sea kelp. Allison Stabile, one of the organizers for the Eco-Village, said, “This year’s Eco-Village proved to be an amazing group of businesses and organizations dedicated to eco-sustainability. Our fair depends upon companies like SavATree to bring this important information to our community. Many parents told me their kids were delighted when planting their saplings. The Eco-Village this year was a big hit.”

Steve Skyer, one of SavATree’s Mamaroneck NY branch arborists commented, “We really enjoy being a part of the Historic Harbor Street Fair and joining together with the community of others who are dedicated to environment health and awareness. We can use this as a forum to let the public know about options for green landscape care and also how regular tree pruning, fertilizing, and monitoring can add to the health and vitality of a landscape.”
