Nathan provides comprehensive tree, shrub, and lawn care services to homeowners like you throughout the Western Connecticut area. Nathan holds a Bachelor’s in Natural Resources Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation from UConn. As an ISA Certified Arborist with many years of experience, Nathan develops customized strategies that promote tree health and property value. Outside of work, Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife, his friends, and his family, making the most of all life has to offer.

Qualifications:

Nathan has more than 15 years of experience in professional landscaping and tree care. Prior to joining SavATree, he spent five years as a Seasonal Park Ranger with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Since 2014, Nathan has been a key member of SavATree, contributing across the Plant Healthcare, General Tree Care, Lawn Care, and DeerTech departments, where he delivers science-based, sustainable solutions for healthy landscapes.

Education:

Nathan earned a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources, with a concentration in Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation, from the University of Connecticut.

Personal:

Nathan grew up in Hampton, Connecticut. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, friends, and his dog, Coxinha. He is passionate about hiking, travel, music, food, and lifelong learning, and actively volunteers with the Newtown Forest Association, where he currently serves as a board member.

Why Did you Become an Arborist?:

“I became an arborist to better understand the role trees play in our cultural environment and to use that knowledge to promote a more sustainable future.”
