Qualifications:

Edgar’s 12 years of experience in Arboriculture started with working as an Urban Forestry intern with the City of Milwaukee Forestry Department performing ash tree inspections and Emerald Ash Borer prevention treatments. Following graduation from UW-Milwaukee, he started with Buckley Tree Service as a ground worker, progressing to climber and crew foreman. He then spent 2 years as a Tree Care Operations Manager with a Tree and Landscape Company in his hometown; Edgar returned to Buckley (now SavATree – Mequon) as an Arborist in 2018 and has been providing Arboricultural guidance and services to clients since.

Education:

Edgar earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation and Environmental Science with minors in Biology and Geography from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Personal:

“In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife Bailey, our dog Cosmo, and our 2 cats, Walter and Elaine. We spend much of our leisure time outdoors, camping, hiking, attending concerts, playing beach volleyball, and working on our house and cabin.”

Why He Became an Arborist:

“To be honest, my family spent many summer weekends camping, which I loved; from those early impressions I knew I would pursue a career that would take me outdoors in nature. My educational pursuits fell in line with my passion for the outdoors as did my internships and work experiences.”
