Qualifications:

ISA Certified Arborist, Tree Risk Assessment Qualified, C27 Landscape Contractor.

After working in the film industry for 3 years, Dylan started his own landscaping companies that focused on native and drought tolerant landscapes. He got his landscape contractors license and built a successful company in LA. After running the business for 6 years, Dylan got his arborist license and was an arborist for San Francisco State University where he also became tree risk assessment qualified. Now Dylan is one credit away from taking his Board Certified Master Arborist Test.

Why Did He Become an Arborist:

“I became an arborist because I love the blend of art and science. The art to make a tree look beautiful and the science to maintain its health. I also felt that I could have a direct impact on the changing climate and the increase in wild fires. Building communities with healthy diverse tree canopies has a direct impact on the environment and well managed trees can help with fire mitigation. So much is advancing in the arbor industry and it keeps me excited about being an arborist.”

Customer Service Philosophy:

“I enjoy helping clients build a beautiful sustainable landscape by asking questions, listening and educating. Sometimes its hard in urban forestry because trees want to do their own thing and humans have their own agenda and sometimes, they don’t always align. I enjoy finding the balance so both can live in harmony.”

Personal:

“I enjoy sailing on the bay. When I’m not amongst the trees you can usually find me down on my boat. I have a cat named Cleopatra and I live in a small town 7 miles south of San Francisco that is one of the last places on the planet that you can find the endangered Mission Blue Butterfly.”

Community Involvement:

“I am the commodore of Sierra Point Yacht Club in Brisbane California.”

Fun Fact:

“I have sailed from Hawaii to San Francisco and I lived on my sailboat for 5 years.”
