Alicia worked for the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets on Long Island, NY. There, she was part of the Asian Longhorned Beetle Program inspecting trees and shrubs for both damage and the presence of this invasive insect. She has since moved to Westchester County and is now excited to join the SavATree team at the Mamaroneck office!
Alicia earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Bioscience from Farmingdale State College.
Industry Involvement, Awards and Certifications:
Alicia has presented her published work on effective control methods on two invasive species of viburnum in 2018 at the Botany Society of America conference in Rochester, MN. She also has plans of earning her ISA certification by 2021.
Alicia is originally from Potsdam, NY where she discovered her love for the outdoors. She enjoys kayaking, going on hikes, playing golf, taking photographs of the outdoors, reading, and spending time with her fiancé, two cats, friends, and family.
Why She Became an Arborist:
“My love for trees started at a young age, so it only seemed appropriate that my career be in that field. Helping people maintain a healthy and thriving landscape is something that is very important to me.”
