Qualifications:
“For the last 10 years I’ve immersed myself in the studies of botany, mycology, ecology, ethnobotany, dendrology and agroforestry. After working as a volunteer ranger in the Daniel Boone National Forest in 2018, I began my career in the green industry as a horticulturist. From horticulture I transitioned into working as a forester, which eventually led me down the path of becoming an arborist. In addition to tree care and general plant health, I’ve been teaching classes on wild edibles and tree crops throughout Kentucky and much of the southeast since 2020. I’ve also had the privilege of writing a book about wild edibles, titled ‘Wild Harvested in Kentucky.'”
Why He Became An Arborist:
“My interests in plants, ecology, plant pathogens and symbiotic relationships are what led me to becoming an arborist.”
Customer Service Philosophy:
“People only care about what they know. My goal is to help our clients understand and fully appreciate their plants value, beauty and ecological importance.”
Fun Fact:
“The origin of the word ‘Manhattan’ comes from the Lenape language and translates to ‘where we go to gather hickory wood for making bows.'”
