Joe operates out of SavATree’s Medfield, MA branch providing comprehensive tree, shrub, lawn, tick and deer services to the Metro Boston area. Some services that Joe and the team offer to clients in the area include tree pruning, tree and lawn fertilization, tree removal, tree disease and lawn disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment, shrub services including Boxwood Blight treatments, organic lawn care and other organic care options, pest control including mosquito and tick treatments, lawn aeration, lawn seeding and deer repellents. Joe has 25 years of experience in pruning and plant health care, including extensive work in shade tree and ornamental pruning, diagnosis and treatment of insect and disease issues. Additionally, he has 15 years of experience in lawn care including diagnosis and implementation of lawn care issues.


  • Associate’s Degree in Arboriculture from Stockbridge School
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Forestry from UMASS, Amherst


Joe grew up in Rockport but currently lives in Taunton with his wife and son. His interests include hiking, camping, travel, guitar, Irish folk music and Willie Nelson.

Why He Became an Arborist:

“Listen to client’s concerns. Address specific concerns before moving on. Let client know their concerns are understood and offer solution. Let them know what I am going to do and what I cannot do. Make clients aware of any additional issues noticed. Follow up by doing what I said and communicating with client. Make sure client fully understand what will be done and why and what to expect as a result.”

Joe once hitch-hiked across the Sahara Desert!
