Qualifications:
Susan comes from a long line of gardeners and farmers. Her great-grandmother started one of the first nurseries in Lyndhurst, Ohio selling starter plants to locals in the 1800s. Her great-grandmother’s knowledge and practices have been passed down to Susan. Gardening is more than a hobby to Susan – it’s in her DNA!
Education:
Susan has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Iowa State University. While at Iowa State, her science courses were heavily rooted in Botany, Biology, and Chemistry.
Personal:
Susan loves the outdoors. On her days off, she can be found gardening, looking at plants in nurseries, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and sailing.
