FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — BEDFORD HILLS, NY — (Marketwire – July 9, 2013) – –On Monday, July 8, 2013 the senior management team from SavATree participated in their annual Volunteer Day where they offered their services and expertise to the Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord, MA.

SavATree VolunteersLocated in an area of great historical significance, Minute Man National Historical Park preserves sites where the American Revolution began on April 19, 1775. The park features a number of noteworthy attractions including the North Bridge where colonists fired “the shot heard round the world” and the five-mile Battle Road Trail. Also offered are a number of Ranger programs and tours designed to give visitors a sense of what it was like to live through this important part of American history.

For their Volunteer Day, 20+ members of SavATree’s senior management team undertook projects designed to beautify the park and make it safer and easier to navigate. Pruning was performed on several trees and shrubs to remove dead wood and enhance clearance on walkways. Several invasive plants were also removed in order to allow native plants to thrive and be highlighted. Additional maintenance pruning was performed on privet and Ilex hedges around the park.

“Being able to conduct our annual community service project at this property that is so significant to American history has been an honor for our team. It’s especially gratifying given the timing of the event and its close proximity to Independence Day” said Daniel van Starrenburg, President of SavATree.
