Poa seeds twice a year (Spring and late Summer), forms a tremendous amount of seed heads, is very shallow rooted, is lime green in color and can’t be controlled at present, on home lawns. This is the only cool season grass that grows from the north pole to the south pole. The seeds spread by mowers and wind from adjacent properties. The seeds can live in the soil for several years and still germinate. Seeds appear for 2 – 3 weeks during May and again in August/September.
