The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) is an international nonprofit organization that determines which input products are allowed for use in organic production and processing. OMRI Listed® products are allowed for use in certified organic operations under the USDA National Organic Program.
Healthy landscapes afford us so many benefits for our social, physical and emotional well-being. A well-maintained landscape can help enhance the curb appeal of a home, control pollution and reduce soil erosion, purify and replenish our water supply, and provide oxygen to our atmosphere.
Whether you are looking for a completely organic program, a phased-in hybrid approach to greenness or a traditional integrated method of care, a good first step is identifying the right program for you. A skilled arborist has an intimate knowledge of ecosystems and can help enhance the natural health and beauty of trees, shrubs and turf by reviewing conditions on your property and recommending the least intrusive solutions that will prevent problems before they begin. From there, periodic checkups can be done throughout the season to maintain health year ‘round.
Your certified arborist will inspect your landscape, diagnose any problems, make recommendations based upon years of experience working in your area, and provide a tree service estimate at no charge. SavATree is ready to help whether you need immediate help from a tree doctor to diagnose or treat tree disease, or if you are new to tree service and want to learn more.
Start with a Soil Test, then your SavATree professional arborist will help you select a program that reflects your eco-sensibilities while maintaining the health of your trees and landscape.
SavATree’s organic program uses exclusive ingredients reviewed by the Organic Material Review Institute (OMRI) under the same standards as the production of organic foods. Generally a property that is in reasonably good health, with fairly good soil conditions and free from infestations of insects, mites, diseases or weeds will receive the most benefit from a completely organic program.
Our hybrid program aims to maintain the health of landscape plants or turf by careful monitoring and use of environmentally sensitive cultural, preventive and curative strategies. Certain landscapes may have difficulties such as depleted nutrients, insects or disease conditions, weeds, or high-maintenance species that require intervention. Our hybrid solution allows the adjustment of materials to address a specific problem with a “rescue treatment” while still respecting nature’s existing harmony.
This integrated program combines natural, synthetic and biological materials together to promote a productive growing environment with highly targeted and low impact treatments. This method always adheres to sound environmental practices, using the least intrusive approach to combat adverse landscape conditions.
