Gypsy Moth in Manchester, CT
June 25, 2019 — Today on a client’s property in Manchester, Connecticut, I spotted these gypsy moth caterpillars crawling on a white oak tree. In its larval state, the gypsy moth can be extremely harmful to trees. When populations increase, the caterpillars can defoliate trees throughout a wide geographic area. If this happens for several years, it could mean stress, or even death, to your trees. Contact your local SavATree arborist today to find out how you can prevent the damage of these harmful critters!
