Gypsy Moth in Manchester, CT
June 25, 2019 — Today on a client’s property in Manchester, Connecticut, I spotted these gypsy moth caterpillars crawling on a white oak tree. In its larval state, the gypsy moth can be extremely harmful to trees. When populations increase, the caterpillars can defoliate trees throughout a wide geographic area.
