Personal:

Why He Became an Arborist:

“I believe humans have a responsibility to take care of the bounty of nature we have been given. Arboriculture has been my choice career because it’s an exciting science that looks at individual trees and how to maintain and manage each one. It’s wonderful to able to nurture trees in an urban landscape where they are such precious and important resource that can do so much for a homeowner AND the community.”

Customer Service Philosophy:

“I want to inform the homeowner of the BEST possible programs and services, using sound science and the latest standards, that can keep their trees safe and healthy for the longest period of time. ”

Observations in the Field:

May 2, 2022 – LAWNS need water

With April being one of the driest, our lawns are suffering. Aschocyta is active in our lawns and making them look very sickly, even dead. Watering is the key to reverse this problem and even this lawn will turn around in a few weeks.

March 9, 2022 – Winter watering is important, even for mature established trees

Winter watering is EXTREMELY important in our dry Colorado Climate. Particularly for Spruce trees. When we get warm and/or windy days the trees will need access to water for photosynthesis and other life processes. When they don’t get it, they get stressed. A bark beetle, Ips engraver beetle, can easily find these stressed trees and infests them quickly. The results happen fast and trees die, almost overnight. Having enough water and keeping trees from getting stressed is your BEST defense. There are also technical materials that can help prevent the beetles from getting into a tree.
