Our popular Hybrid Lawn Care program pairs organic fertilizer with synthetic weed control products. This program allows you to balance your desire for a healthy, beautiful lawn with your commitment to using organic products on your property.

We use premium organic fertilizers to enhance the quality of your soil and maintain, energize, and fortify your property’s natural ecosystem.
Weeds are addressed through conservative spot-treating with quality synthetic materials at optimal times during the year.

Our Hybrid program not only gives you a lush, green lawn. It also cultivates a sustainably healthy turf that will, over time, require less weed-control material to stay that way.

The First Step: Soil Analysis

Our Hybrid Lawn Care program starts with a laboratory analysis of soil samples from your property. This analysis will reveal nutrient content, the percentage of organic matter present, pH levels, soil compaction, and other characteristics. Our arborist will also walk your property with you to inspect the turf conditions first-hand and discuss your priorities. With all that information in hand, they will recommend the treatments and cultural practices that will best meet your property’s needs.

High-Quality Organic Soil and Plant Nutrition…

Your SavATree lawn specialist will apply organic slow-release fertilizers made with ingredients certified by the Organic Material Review Institute (OMRI) under the same standards as the production of organic foods. These organic fertilizers and biostimulants strengthen roots, provide carbohydrates and nutrients, and establish an effective barrier against crabgrass proliferation. The result is a thicker, greener lawn.

When weed problems emerge that threaten the health of your lawn, your lawn specialist will apply technical materials with a conservative spot treatment approach using our specialized injector system. We select the synthetic products we use in our lawn care programs very carefully, looking for materials that are highly effective and environmentally sensible. To assist us in that, we consult the Environmental Impact Quotient (EIQ) — a formula and data source created by The New York State Integrated Pest Management Program at Cornell University. The EIQ shows us the environmental and health impacts of available products and ingredients. Armed with that information, we are able to make responsible choices in optimizing the health of your lawn.

Targeted Problem-Solving, As Needed

If problems emerge in your turf – such as insects, grubs, diseases, soil compaction, or bare spots – effective supplemental treatments and cultural services to address these issues may be added on to your Hybrid program as needed.
