Qualifications:

Stan provides comprehensive tree, shrub, lawn, tick and deer services. He is a TCIA Certified Tree Safety Professional, an ISA Certified Arborist and a Licensed Pesticide Applicator by the Illinois Department of Agriculture. He has been working on landscapes, offering services such as tree pruning and tree removals since 2003.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Urban Forestry from Western Illinois University.

Personal:

Stan is the President of the Fox Valley Homeowners Confederation and a member of the Sustainable Landscape Resources for Community Associations working group at the Morton Arboretum. Stan is married to his college sweetheart and has a Daughter, Evelyn and a Son, Jack. He runs a travel baseball program, plays softball and is a member of a professional BBQ team.

Why He Became An Arborist:

“I switched majors from history education to Urban forestry because I suddenly realized I would be inside for my entire working career if I stuck with history. I had a fantastic college professor, Dr Tom Green, who not only taught me the academics of trees, but also the career and business aspects as well. Quite possibly the biggest turning point in my life! Plus, my mom’s side of the family are all involved in traditional forestry in the UP of Michigan, so its kind of in my blood.”
