Alec earned his degree in Agricultural Science with a concentration in Urban Forestry from Western Illinois University
Alec has been practicing and studying arboriculture since 2008. He began as a field worker for Champaign County Forest Preserve District, worked as a Field Data Collection Assistant for the Morton Arboretum in 2010, served as assistant to the campus arborist at Western Illinois University, and began his professional career in 2011 after graduation. Since then, he’s held various roles ranging from Plant Health Care Specialist and Groundman to Sales and Branch Management for various tree care companies in Illinois, Texas, and Arizona.
Alec is originally from the Champaign, IL area and currently reside in Chicago. He has a senior blue heeler/rottweiler mix named Django. In his spare time, he enjoy strength training, going to live sporting events, and collecting watches.
