Customer Testimonials
“We appreciate the time and attention that your Arbor Patrol team takes to maintain the overall health and appearance of the trees, bushes and general grounds. As they say, you can only have one first impression and the impression the grounds make on both residents and visitors alike is always positive thanks to your caring maintenance. Just as the trees continue to grow and blossom under your care, we hope our relationship with SavATree does the same.”
William Toedter

“After four different unsatisfactory visits with so-called arborists, I found SavaTree... I was most impressed with the professionalism of David [my arborists] and his colleagues. They were most knowledgeable, fair with their assessment about what needed to be done, yet very attuned with what my concerns. I highly recommend them without any hesitation. In a field where there is an abundance of folks looking to take advantage of consumers, SavaTree, David and crew strike me as incredibly honest and proud arborists who do a fantastic job.”

“I am a new and highly satisfied customer of SavATree. For 50 years I have lived in the same house in the Greenhaven area, and in that time I have never had a tree company that gave me such fine service.”

“For over 14 years, I have entrusted the care of my trees, plants and orchard to SavATree. Their highly qualified arborists have exacting standards and understand how to maintain the health and form of the various species of trees on my property. I admire the artistic skill that goes into the pruning and love the colorful blossoms, fruits and foliage that flourish as a result of their impeccable care.”

"Efficient, high quality, professional competence — all at a competitive sum. At first [Alison] Pottage won me over by her solid knowledge as an arborist, then the crew did their job to her specifications on our 60 to 70 foot oaks within a remarkable period of time -- and left the grounds quite clean.”

SAVATREE FOCUSES ON THE SCIENCE OF TREE CARE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE BEDFORD HILLS, NY--(Marketwire - Sep 29, 2011) - In the wake of Hurricane Irene many homeowners and property managers are paying closer attention to their trees and wondering what, if anything, can be done to minimize tree-related storm damage in the future. While there are a number of steps that can be taken to strengthen and prepare your trees (pruning, cabling and bracing, insect control) SavATree recommends that homeowners also take a closer look at the science of tree care. SavATree is currently employing a number of new technologies that let customers better understand the health of their landscape trees and assess which trees might be at greater risk during the next big storm.
Measure Decay with a Resistograph
The resistograph is an ideal device for evaluating the internal structure of trees. Resistograph technology uses a small drill to detect resistance as it enters a tree giving arborists the ability to pinpoint areas of wood decay, stages of disease, hollow areas and cracks. These variations are translated into a graph, which looks a lot like an EKG print out. The tiny drilling hole closes itself up without any damage to the tree.
Quickly Diagnose Tree Root Health with an Air Spade
Using an air spade, arborists can quickly perform a visual inspection of your trees' root system with minimum disturbance to the existing root structure. The air spade is a state-of-the art excavation tool that uses compressed air to cut through soil quickly and with great accuracy in considerably less time than conventional digging, allowing for more efficient service. This tool removes and breaks up soil -- even hard clay -- without damaging roots meaning that, in addition to diagnostic benefits, the air spade allows for easier installation of underground cables, pipes and utility lines as well.
SavATree uses technologies such as resistographs and air spades as supplemental measures to their standard, 14 Point Risk Audit. This customized audit helps customers to become more familiar with the health of their trees and allows them to make informed decisions on how to prepare for future storms.
