Tree Carving

Large old feature trees are marvelous living structures. Unfortunately, even with the best of care, mature specimens may succumb to aggressive diseases, but we don’t necessarily have to lose their presence. One New Jersey resident and SavATree client, has decided not to let go of the magnificent presence of his European Copper Beech tree.

Before its transformation into a tree carving of Conan the Barbarian and three maidens, this tree stood over 100 feet tall with a trunk diameter of 6′ 8″. The tree carving was sculpted by Dr. Milan E. Szkipala, a world renowned chainsaw carving artist. Dr. Szkipala was recruited from Michigan for the incredible transformation of this wonderful old Beech in New Jersey. You can visit his website at treecarvings.com.
