For Immediate Release – June 14, 2006
Fairfield, Connecticut—April 23, 2006—SavATree was a participant and sponsor in the Young Women’s League of New Canaan’s (YWL) annual Touch-A-Truck festival. The event was held at the South School in New Canaan, CT between 11:30 A.M. and 2:30 P.M on April 23rd. SavATree arborists assisted children as they climbed, touched and explored SavATree’s unique shiny green and white truck. SavATree’s truck was one of many that were on display for children to examine. Over 500 families from New Canaan and Fairfield County attended the event. There was also a wide range of activities for the children including face painting, souvenirs and a raffle.
SavATree Branch Manager Mike Schoeni commented, “The kids and parents enjoyed the festival because they got to see something different in every section. There were limousines, fire trucks and bulldozers. It was very exciting.” SavATree also handed out “junior arborist” t-shirts and Colorado blue spruce seedlings to the children. SavATree has sponsored the Touch-A-Truck event for 6 consecutive years. Schoeni added, “The Young Women’s league of New Canaan is heavily involved in the community. They have always been responsive to our needs and we support their cause and are happy to be a part of this great event.” For more information on SavATree’s participation in the Touch-a-truck event, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call (914) 241-4999.
