Bedford Hills, New York—July 1, 2005—Horticulture and forestry scholarships were presented to Matthew Cousins and Julia Brotton by SavATree for the 2005 Sensational Scholarship Program. They were each awarded a $2,500 horticulture and forestry scholarship to help advance their studies in forestry and landscape horticulture. The program awards the most outstanding college students majoring in arboriculture or a related field through horticulture scholarships and forestry scholarships.

Horticulture scholarship winner Matthew Cousins is a junior at Clemson University, and he is Vice-President of the horticulture club and a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society. The horticulture scholarship will allow Matthew to finish his degree and continue with his horticultural research project.

Horticulture and Forestry scholarship winner Julia Brotton is a senior at Oklahoma State University majoring in horticulture. She is also a member of the honors college program, and she is the assistant coach for the Oklahoma floriculture crop judging team. Last year, Julia won first place for potted plants and floral design. The horticulture and forestry scholarship will allow Julia to complete her degree and pursue a career in horticulture.
