SavATree Employs TreeRadar™ Technology at Montgomery College

Bedford, NY. November 7th, 2013 — – The Consulting Group at SavATree recently provided tree preservation and protection services in advance of construction at Montgomery College in Rockville Maryland. The campus contained three large willow oaks in an area of planned construction and retained SavATree to provide a comprehensive tree risk assessment as well as recommendations for preserving the trees before, during and after construction.

SavATree used cutting edge TreeRadar™ Technology to perform detailed trunk and root scans, and reported that the health and structure of the trees made them suitable candidates for retention.

Their specific recommendations for preserving the trees included treating them with a growth regulator and biostimulant prior to construction. During construction activity, specific tree root pruning instructions were provided and tree fencing at the limit of the critical root zone (CRZ) was recommended to prevent damage by construction vehicles, material or equipment. Post construction suggestions focused on boosting tree health with composted organic mulch and providing a prescribed amount of water.
