Preserving Community

As a natural extension of our company’s mission, SavATree realizes that the best way to encourage environmental awareness and passion for nature is by directly giving back to the communities we serve—from Massachusetts to Virginia, and everywhere in between. In addition to maintaining and enhancing client properties, each year SavATree volunteers proudly participate in community service projects, neighborhood activities, special events, unique tree care projects, educational forums and historic preservation endeavors. Our goal is to restore and improve the health, safety, vitality and sustainability of local landscapes.

  • Riverkeeper Shad Festival SavATree hosts a rope climbing event at the 19th Annual Riverkeeper’s Shad Festival and Hudson River Celebration in Garrison, NY to help raise awareness of the health of the Hudson River and green living.
  • Central Park NYC SavATree’s management staff on their way to provide expert care to over 70 trees in Central Park that had not been pruned in over four decades.
  • Touch-A-Truck Staff participates in Touch-A-Truck Festival sponsored by the Junior League of Greenwich, CT. Kids get to climb aboard customized trucks used to provide nutrients for their landscapes and parents receive information on SavATree’s organic and hybrid programs.
  • Arbor Day Arbor Day 2008 – arborists Brad Gurr and Steve Mazza educate kids at the Scarborough Presbyterian Children’s Center about why trees are important and gave out saplings to plant at home.
  • NJ Youth Corp Arborists work with New Jersey Youth Corps and New Jersey Tree Foundation to help develop urban and community forestry activities in New Jersey. Over 200 trees were planted at the Heavenly Farms Community Center in East Brunswick.
