SavATree Named 2008-2009 Audubon International Partner for the Environment
Bedford Hills, NY—SavATree is proud to announce its continued commitment to be a 2008-2009 Audubon Partner for the Environment in cooperation with Audubon International, an environmental organization that empowers people to practice good environmental stewardship and manage natural resources responsibly. As an Audubon Partner, SavATree has agreed to complete at least one environmental improvement project this year and document its results for review. Audubon International will provide educational and project information and staff support, as well as awards and recognition for completed projects.
SavATree’s environmental improvement project for the previous year included installation of programmable thermostats set to energy efficient levels, transition to compact fluorescent light bulbs, emission reduction through a no-idling policy, and conversion to a sealed container system to reduce fuel evaporation. The emphasis of the Audubon Partners program is on achieving results, greater awareness, increased participation in environmental stewardship activities, and an improved environment.
